National Food Security Scheme: 23 Lakh Families Buy LPG Cylinder for ₹806, Shockingly State Govt. Withholds Subsidy

Last year, the government promised that families in Rajasthan covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) would get domestic gas cylinders for ₹450 from September 1. A total of 68 lakh families in the state come under NFSA. BPL and Ujjwala connection holders are already benefiting from this scheme. Providing cylinders to these additional 68 lakh families at ₹450 will put an annual burden of around ₹200 crore on the state government’s financial treasury.

Subsidy Delay in Rajasthan: 23 Lakh Families Await LPG Refund

Around 23 lakh families in Rajasthan, entitled to receive a ₹356 subsidy for LPG cylinders from the state government, have not received the subsidy for the past three months. Sumit Godara, the state food and civil supply minister, explained that the delay was due to a technical glitch in the system. According to a report by the Times of India, officials from the food and civil supply department mentioned that the issue occurred because the government delayed the process of mapping the bank account details of consumers through their respective dealers in the state’s system.

    Technical Glitch Behind Subsidy Delay

“There have been some technical glitches in the system. When our officials tried to transfer the subsidy, it showed an error message. We have rectified the issue for most of the consumers. The finance department will now transfer the funds. For the rest, we will fix the glitch as soon as possible,” said Godara.

    Government Delay Causes Transfer Issues

Officials claim that after the scheme was rolled out, the government initially delayed collecting the details of eligible consumers. Now, they are in the process of mapping these details in the system. This delay has contributed to the hold-up in the subsidy transfer process.

His body showed numerous stab wounds. As the police began their investigation, a shocking twist emerged. Just three days post-murder, they arrested his grandson, Kilaru Keerthi Teja, on suspicion of killing his maternal grandfather, a crime linked to a property dispute.   Authorities revealed that Teja allegedly stabbed his grandfather over 70 times. They are still waiting for the postmortem results. The murder weapon has been found, and it’s reported that Teja also attacked his mother, who is now hospitalized. In a fit of rage, he repeatedly struck his grandfather. After the incident, he changed out of his blood-stained clothes.   Teja was apprehended close to his home. Police confirmed that the victim had multiple stab wounds, but the exact count will be determined once the post-mortem report is available. Although there were rumors that Teja had fled the city after the incident, he was caught near the Panjagutta flyover, not far from where the crime took place.   Teja had just come back to Hyderabad after finishing his master’s degree in the US, according to the police. He was staying in Lanco Hills, a gated community in the western part of the city. Teja was feeling pretty frustrated with Rao, believing he was being treated unfairly compared to the other family members. Janardhan Rao has three daughters and a son, and Teja is the son of Sarojini, who is the second daughter.   On the day of the murder, police reported that Teja went to his grandfather’s house with his mom in the evening. There, he got into a heated argument with his grandfather and ended up attacking him. A police officer mentioned that when the victim’s mother tried to intervene, Teja turned on her as well. It was actually the victim’s mother who called her brother in Jubilee Hills to let him know about the murder.

  • Major setback for AAP, Kejriwal-Manish Sisodia lost, BJP is winning

Major setback for AAP, Kejriwal-Manish Sisodia lost, BJP is winning

The Delhi Assembly Election results have confirmed the victory of BJP. AAP has been kicked out of power. Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia have faced defeat in the elections, marking the end of a 27-year dry spell for the BJP in Delhi. Celebrations are now underway at the BJP headquarters. The results for all 70 seats are starting to come in.   The picture for all 70 Delhi seats is becoming clearer. Results are rolling in, and both Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi and Manish Sisodia from Jangpura have lost their races. The only silver lining for AAP is that Chief Minister Atishi Kalkaji managed to win.   So far, the BJP is leading in 47 seats, while AAP is trailing with just 23. The BJP is gearing up for a celebration, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the party office around 5 pm to speak to the workers.   Reflecting on the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, social activist Anna Hazare commented that Arvind Kejriwal’s reputation took a hit due to issues with alcohol, leading to a loss of trust among the people of Delhi. He emphasized that candidates should have good character and clean images when running for office, but AAP seemed to overlook this, getting caught up in alcohol and money.   Hazare pointed out that Arvind Kejriwal’s reputation has taken a hit because of the liquor scam, which is why he’s not getting as many votes this time around. People notice that while Kejriwal talks about integrity, he’s been caught up in alcohol-related issues. Politics is always full of accusations, and in times like these, a leader needs to connect with the public and show that the claims against him are untrue. Just throwing around accusations doesn’t change the facts.   On another note, CM Atishi has secured a win from the Kalkaji seat, beating BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri by a solid 3,500 votes. This is great news for AAP, especially since both Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia faced losses in the elections.
