Massive Fire at Mahakumbh Again: Prayagraj- A huge fire broke out again in the Maha Kumbh on Thursday afternoon, causing a stir. The fire broke out in the tent city near Chhatnag Ghat, Nageshwar Ghat Sector 22, so more than a dozen tents were burnt. This area is located on the edge of the fair towards Jhansi. The fire broke out in the Vedic Tent City, a private company set up. However, the matter of relief is that there is no news of any casualty in this incident. The fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire, and many administrative officers were also watching the situation.
How did the fire start? Reason still unknown
According to Chief Fire Officer Pramod Kumar Sharma, the fire department team immediately reached the spot when they received information about the fire in Sector 22. About 15 tents were engulfed in fire, and the fire brigade vehicles quickly controlled the fire. Although the real cause of the fire has not been clear yet, a short circuit is considered a possible reason in the initial estimate. No one was harmed, but caution is bis being taken. Fortunately, there has been no loss of life in this incident, and there is no news of anyone getting burnt. The administration has instructed the tent operators to take additional safety measures. It is being told that this tent was set up temporarily and comes under the Chamanganj outpost area. The local administration has also been informed about this incident.
Such incidents have happened before
It is worth noting that this is not the first time a fire has broken out in the Maha Kumbh. On January 19, a massive fire broke out in the camp of Gita Press in Gorakhpur, in which more than 150 cottages were burnt to ashes. That camp was located in Sector 19 near Shastri Bridge. The administration had then said that the cause of the fire was gas leakage from a small cylinder, while the Gita Press administration had suspected the fire to be caused by external elements.

Many lives were also lost in the stampede.
Apart from the fire incidents, another major accident occurred in Maha Kumbh on Wednesday. On the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, a stampede occurred due to the vast crowd, in which 30 people died, and about 60 people were injured. Of these, 36 wounded are being treated in the medical college. According to the administration, the increasing crowd broke the barricading, which led to this accident.
What do experts say?
Lakhs of devotees come to significant events like Maha Kumbh, challenging security. Experts say strict rules must be implemented to prevent fires in tents. Cylinders and electrical wiring must also be regularly checked to avoid such accidents.
Incidents like frequent fires and stampedes in Maha Kumbh have become a concern. The administration needs to tighten security measures so devotees can participate in this religious event without fear.
