MG to Launch Affordable Electric SUV: Windsor EV

MG Windsor EV: MG is going to launch a new electric car in India on 11 September 2024, which will be equipped with many great features. Let’s know about it in detail.

The MG Windsor EV is expected to be priced below 20 lakhs. This car will be positioned below the ZS EV in the company’s EV portfolio and will compete with Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 and the recently launched Tata Curve EV.

Battery, range and power

The Windsor EV will get two battery pack options 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh. the range of the car will be 360 ​​km and 460 km respectively. This car will be powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor mounted on the front axle, which gives a power of 134hp

Design and Features

The Windsor EV is a mix of a large hatchback and MPV. It is around 4.3 metres in length and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The stance and shape of the car are similar to that of an MPV, but it will only be available in a 5-seater configuration.

Rear AC vents, 3-passenger rear seat in the car

On the interior side, the Windsor EV will get a large floating touchscreen with very few physical switches. MG has also confirmed that the car will get rear AC vents, 3-passenger rear seats (with 3-point seat belts on all three seats), rear centre armrest and faux leather seats with large honeycomb pattern stitching. The rear seats can be tilted up to 135 degrees.
