Various schemes are run by the government to stand by the common people. In today’s article, we are going to discuss a scheme where you will also benefit from applying. PM Jan Dhan Account is a government scheme under which any citizen can open a bank account with zero balance.

PM Jan Dhan Account

Under this scheme, it is mandatory to have a new KYC of PM Jan Dhan Account on completion of 10 years. Recently, Financial Services Secretary Nagaraju held a meeting with all stakeholders to initiate a fresh KYC process for Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana account holders.

The financial secretary had said that about 10.5 crore PM Jan Dhan accounts were opened between August 2014 and 2014 under the PM Jan Dhan Yojana launched in 2014. Now these PM Jan Dhan accounts are completing 10 years, and their KYC should be done again. If you also have a Jan Dhan account and it is 10 years old, then know how you can get KYC done.

How to apply for Jan Dhan Yojana?

1. Visit the official portal of PMJDY. Under the e-document section, you will find live links to the account opening form.

2. Applicants can access it in both English and Hindi languages.

3. Click on the appropriate language option. Fill out the form manually with all your bank and personal data, including bank branch, city/village name, block/district, Aadhaar number, occupation, annual income, Kisan Credit Card details, and others.
