Under the “Har Ghar Har Grihini” scheme, even though eligible families have to pay the market price on filling the cylinder, later the government will deposit a subsidy of more than ₹ 500 in their account.
Who can avail of the scheme
This scheme has been specially designed to provide relief to poor families. To avail of the scheme, it is necessary to fulfill the following conditions:
Your family should be on the Antyodaya Family Eligibility List (APL).
Your LPG connection should be linked to your Aadhaar card.
Your bank account should also be linked to the Aadhar card.
How to register on the portal
Go to the Har Ghar Har Grihini Portal website.
On the homepage, you will see the option to enter your family identity card number.
Enter the number and click on the “Get OTP” button.
An OTP will get on your registered contact number, enter it.
After OTP verification, you will see a form, and fill in the information asked.
Submit the filled form and your registration will be completed within an hour.
How does the scheme work
You have to pay the full amount while filling the gas cylinder.
After this, the subsidy amount of more than ₹ 500 will be deposited directly to your bank account through DBT.
You will get information about the deposit of the subsidy amount on your mobile phone through SMS.
Is this a beneficial scheme
This scheme is beneficial for poor families. This will significantly reduce their expenditure on LPG. However, it is important to note that the subsidy amount is not received immediately, but will be deposited in your account after some time.
