Hyundai Tucson: Hyundai launched its 2025 Tucson Facelift globally at the 2024 New York International Auto Show. With the facelift, Hyundai has made minor changes on the outside and some major revisions on the inside. While the company has showcased the Tucson N-Line model internationally, we can expect this luxurious model to arrive in India before the end of 2024. Today, we talk about the new Hyundai Tucson as its interior is more premium than ever.
New style of interior
Let’s talk about the interior first as it has been changed a lot. What immediately catches the attention are the two huge screens. The new Tucson gets a single-piece curved display with a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen system. The second major change has happened in the steering wheel. The steering wheel like the Creta is no longer there and has been replaced by a 3-spoke unit. The new steering wheel looks futuristic.
The center console has also been changed and now looks cleaner than before. The buttons on the center console have been replaced with a touch panel like the recent SUVs from Tata. Overall, the new interior is more luxurious than before and has a perfect blend of sophistication and futuristic design.
We can also expect the addition of several new features! The Tucson is already a feature-rich SUV and a set of new features will only up the game for Hyundai. Currently, the Tucson comes with – dual-zone climate control, powered front seats with memory function, heated and ventilated front seats, 64 colors ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and more.
Minor changes on the exterior
On the outside, there are no major changes to the new Tucson. The SUV looks quite similar to the current model. However, for a refreshed look, the Tucson gets a redesigned front grille along with minor changes to the headlamps. Also, Hyundai has now added new elements like skid plates on both the front and rear bumpers.
The side profile continues to get those sharp cuts and creases, while the SUV now rides on a new set of alloy wheels. Overall, Hyundai hasn’t tinkered much with the exterior design of the Tucson as it is already a stunning-looking SUV.
Engine Specifications
Hyundai has not announced any changes to the powertrain options for the new Tucson. This means it will continue to be powered by the same 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engines in India. The 2.0-litre petrol engine produces 154bhp of power and 192Nm of torque.
The engine comes mated to a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. While the 2.0-litre diesel engine produces 184bhp and 416Nm of torque and comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter transmission.
Launch and Price
The new Hyundai Tucson is expected to launch in India by the end of 2024 when the company will launch the Alcazar facelift in the country. Since this is a major update to the model, expect a premium price over the current model. We expect the new Tucson to go up to ₹ 44.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). When launched, it will compete with the Skoda Kodiaq and the VW Tiguan.
