Maruti Suzuki Celerio: Maruti Suzuki India has introduced a new variant of the Celerio, which now includes six airbags for enhanced safety. To facilitate the clearance of existing inventory, the company is offering substantial discounts on both the 2024 and 2025 model years of the Celerio. Customers can benefit from discounts of up to Rs 53,100 when purchasing the vehicle this month, with the offer valid until February 28. The starting ex-showroom price for this model is Rs 5.64 lakh.
Updated Celerio features
The updated Celerio features a striking new front grille, sharp headlight units, and fog light casings, complemented by a front bumper with black accents. Some design elements have been inspired by the S-Preso. The side profile has been significantly altered compared to the previous model, now showcasing 15-inch alloy wheels with a fresh design.
At the rear, the vehicle boasts a body-colored bumper, fluid taillights, and a curvy tailgate, along with increased interior space. Notable features include first-in-segment hill hold assist, an engine start-stop system, and a large infotainment screen. The interior design emphasizes a center-focused visual appeal, featuring sharp dash lines, twin-slot AC vents with chrome accents, a new gear shift design, and updated upholstery. The 7-inch SmartPlay Studio display supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Powered by the K10C DualJet 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine
The Celerio is powered by the K10C DualJet 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, which incorporates a start/stop system. This engine produces 66 hp and 89 Nm of torque, and it is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox, although the LXI variant does not offer an automatic transmission. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 26.68 kmpl, while the CNG variant achieves 35.60 km per kg.
The vehicle is equipped with a total of 12 safety features, including dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and hill hold assist, which is a first in its segment. Maruti Suzuki asserts that the new Celerio meets all Indian safety regulations, including frontal-offset, side crash, and pedestrian safety standards. The car is available in six different colors.
