Delhi residents will soon have access to free treatment worth Rs 10 lakh
With the recent Delhi Assembly election results, the BJP is gearing up to form the government after 27 years. This change is likely to bring about several new initiatives, including the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which, while not new overall, will be a fresh addition for Delhi residents.
Since it hasn’t been implemented in Delhi until now, one of the first actions the new BJP government might take is to launch this scheme. Before the elections, the BJP had already hinted at this plan, promising double the benefits—free treatment of Rs 10 lakh instead of Rs 5 lakh. Once the scheme is in place, Delhi residents will be able to enjoy this enhanced medical coverage.
Delhi residents can snag Ayushman cards once the Ayushman Yojana rolls out by registering for it. To get started, just head over to your nearest Common Service Center. First, you’ll need to check if you’re eligible. Then, fill out the application form for the scheme.
Make sure to hand it over to the CSC operator along with any required documents. After that, your Ayushman card will be processed. If you prefer, you can also apply online through the official app or website of Ayushman Yojana.
