Honda Activa EV: Honda has entered the electric two-wheeler segment in India with the launch of the Activa Electric. During the Auto Expo 2025, held last month, the company introduced two new models, including the Activa Electric and the QC1. According to Autocar Professional, Honda is considering the establishment of an electric vehicle manufacturing plant in India, with operations potentially starting in 2028.
Ten new Honda-electric vehicles in the Indian market!
The company intends to roll out ten new electric vehicles in the Indian market over the next five years, with four of these slated for release within the next two years. This decision to establish a manufacturing facility in India is motivated by the increasing demand for electric vehicles in the region. Honda expects substantial growth in the Indian EV market over the next decade.
While specific details about the vehicles set to launch between 2025 and 2027 have not been revealed, Honda aims to achieve an annual sales target of 300,000 units with the introduction of four new models. The recent unveiling of the Activa Electric and QC1 signifies the commencement of Honda’s ambitious strategy, although these initial offerings come with limited specifications. Future models are anticipated to feature a variety of advanced technologies.
