Now a days medical expenses are huge . To avoid the financial strain of unnecessary medical treatments in the future, many folks find themselves unable to afford health insurance. That’s where the Government of India steps in to help.

In 2018, the Government launched the PM Ayushman Bharat Yojana aimed at supporting the underprivileged with their medical needs. This initiative allows eligible families to receive free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, courtesy of the government.

Beneficiaries can access free treatment at both private and government hospitals that are part of the Ayushman Bharat network. However, there are specific eligibility requirements that must be met to qualify for this scheme. Only those who meet these criteria can take advantage of the benefits.

Interestingly, there are individuals who do meet the requirements but still miss out on the chance to receive free treatment under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana. You might be curious about why that happens.

It’s important to understand that the people affected aren’t to blame. Even though Ayushman Bharat Yojana is a national initiative, there are still some states where it hasn’t been rolled out. This means that eligible folks in those areas miss out on the benefits.

When we look at these states, Telangana, West Bengal, and Delhi come to mind. However, with the BJP set to take over the government in Delhi after 27 years, it looks like the Ayushman Bharat Yojana will finally be implemented there. Unfortunately, people in Telangana and West Bengal will still have to wait for those benefits.
