Maruti Suzuki WagonR: Maruti Suzuki India secured six models in the top ten cars list for January, showcasing its strong market presence with the first two positions dominated by its vehicles. The Maruti WagonR emerged as the leader, surpassing competitors such as the Tata Punch and Maruti Ertiga, which had previously held top spots.

The Tata Punch ranked fifth, while the Ertiga did not make it into the top ten. Additionally, two Tata models were featured in the list. Below is the complete list of the top ten cars for January:

Maruti Suzuki WagonR with 24,078 units sold, Maruti Suzuki Baleno with 19,965 units, Hyundai Creta with 18,522 units, Maruti Suzuki Swift with 17,081 units, Tata Punch with 16,231 units, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara with 15,784 units, Mahindra Scorpio with 15,442 units, Tata Nexon with 15,397 units, Maruti Suzuki Dzire with 15,383 units, and Maruti Suzuki Frontx with 15,192 units.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR features a 7-inch SmartPlay

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR features a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system equipped with navigation, cloud-based services, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and hill-hold assist in the AMT variant. It is also fitted with four speakers and a semi-digital instrument cluster with mounted controls on the steering wheel.

Engine variations and technology

Powering the WagonR are a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, both utilizing DualJet Dual VVT technology. The 1.0-litre engine boasts a claimed mileage of 25.19 kmpl, while its CNG variant (available in LXI and VXI trims) offers a mileage of 34.05 km/kg. The 1.2-litre K-Series DualJet Dual VVT engine claims a fuel efficiency of 24.43 kmpl for the ZXI AGS and ZXI+ AGS trims.
