Hyundai Creta: Hyundai Motor India commenced the new year with impressive momentum, achieving sales of 65,603 units in January 2025. Among these, 54,003 units were sold within the domestic market, while 11,600 units were exported. The Creta model led the sales figures, setting a new monthly record by selling 18,522 units.
Introduction of the new Creta Electric
The introduction of the new Creta Electric has been credited with enhancing sales in the mid-size SUV category. Additionally, Hyundai unveiled its first mass-market electric vehicle at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025, which has further stimulated growth in the electric vehicle market.
Hyundai achieved a 19 percent increase in sales for January 2025
In comparison to the 55,078 units sold in December 2024, Hyundai experienced a 19 percent increase in sales for January 2025. However, on a year-on-year basis, the company reported a 5 percent decline, marking a third consecutive decrease in sales.
Company optimistic about Hyundai Creta EV
Hyundai has reported a 10.5 percent year-on-year increase in exports, with 11,600 units dispatched in January 2025. Commenting on the company’s performance, Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), stated, “We have reinforced HMIL’s status as a global manufacturing hub, achieving a 10.5 percent growth in exports in January, supported by consistent international demand.”

“On the domestic front, our first indigenous electric SUV, the Hyundai Creta Electric, launched at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 17, has made a strong debut. This has contributed to Creta reaching its highest ever domestic monthly sales of 18,522 units in January 2025”, he further added.
