MG Comet EV is the smallest and cheapest Electric Car in the domestic market. However, now you will have to spend more money to buy this affordable EV. MG Motor has recently increased the prices of some variants of Comet EVs. Let’s take a look at the new price, features, range, and specifications of the car.

MG Comet EV Price Hike

In the domestic market, Comet EV is available in four variants Executive, Excite, Exclusive, and 100-Year Edition. Apart from the base variant, the price of all other variants has increased by up to Rs 19,000.

The price of the top-spec 100-Year Edition and the Exclusive variant with a fast charger has been increased by up to Rs 19,000. At the same time, the price of the Exclusive variant without a fast charger has been increased by Rs 14,000 and the price of the Excite variant has been increased by Rs 12,000.

After the price range update, the ex-showroom prices of MG Comet have gone up from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 9.84 lakh. It is a two-door electric car, which has been designed keeping urban mobility in mind. Its exterior design is quite modern and stylish.

MG Comet EV Features and Safety

This electric car has features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, smartphone integration, digital instrument cluster, AC, and climate control.

At the same time, for the safety of the passengers, front and side airbags for both driver and passenger, anti-brake lock system (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), and electronic stability control (ESC) along with parking sensors and camera are available.

MG Comet EV Battery and Performance

The Comet EV gets a 17.3 kWh battery pack, which is capable of giving a claimed range of 230 km on full charge. This power pack can be fully charged in 5-6 hours with a normal charger. Whereas, it can be charged up to 80% in 1-1.5 hours with a fast charger.

The battery pack of Comet EV is connected to a single motor, whose power output is 41 hp (30 kW). This powertrain produces a torque of 110 Nm. The top speed of this EV is around 100 km/h and it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8 to 10 seconds.
