Mahakumbh Mela Stampede: On Wednesday morning, the day of Amrit Snan, a stampede broke out at the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Ten people are reported to have died during the Mahakumbh, and the injured are being admitted to the hospital. This stampede occurred due to the increasing crowds for the Amrit Snan of Mauni Amavasya. However, a massive crowd of devotees is still seen on the Sangam coast.

PM Modi has spoken to the UP CM 4 times to take stock of the stampede situation. Amrit Snan, to be held today in Mahakumbh, has been banned. The Akharas themselves have taken this decision. According to the information, the injured have been brought to the Central Hospital Mahakumbh by making a green corridor with ambulances, where their treatment is going.

UP Chief Minister Yogi said 8 to 10 crore people are present in Prayagraj. There is a race to bathe on the Sangam coast. However, the administration is rigorous. The CM said that some devotees have been injured, some seriously. PM Modi has also been taking stock of the situation since morning. The problem is under control, but the crowd pressure is still there.

Meanwhile, Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri said the Akharas will take Amrit Snan when the crowd reduces. Meanwhile, Amrit Snan will start at 10 a.m. The administration has made complete preparations for this. The situation is normal right now.

Railway station on alert mode

Due to the crowd in Maha Kumbh, all the railway stations bordering Prayagraj have been put on alert. Given the crowd in Mathura, all special trains have been stopped.

Lakhs of passengers are seen stranded at the station to go to Prayagraj. The passengers have been stopped at the holding area. All the division officers and the railway administration have reached the station. Entry to the station has been stopped by putting up a barrier. ACM Manish Kumar said that the train going to Prayagraj has been stopped till further orders.

Even after the stampede in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, lakhs of devotees have reached for the Sangam bath. Now, with the safety of the people in view, helicopter monitoring is being done.

What did CM Yogi say?

After the stampede, UP CM Yogi appealed to the devotees and said they should bathe at the ghat of Maa Ganga near where they are. Do not try to go towards Sangam Nose. Follow all the instructions of the administration. Bathing takes place peacefully in all the ghats of Sangam. Do not pay any attention to any rumour.
