JEE Main Exam: The first session of the JEE Main exam started today, January 2 22, 2025. Students are getting entry into the exam centre after frisking and biometric checks. A strict rule has also been made regarding going to the toilet during the exam.
If a student takes a toilet break in the middle of the exam, he will be rechecked and undergo biometric attendance. At present, the first shift exam, which was scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, has been completed.
A notice has been issued regarding rescheduling the JEE (Main) 2025 Session-I exam for candidates at the Bengaluru exam centre. This decision was made due to irregularities in the examination of 114 candidates at the E-Talent Exam Center (TC Code-40086) in Bengaluru, Karnataka, during the first shift on January 22, 2025.
Rescheduled Dates and New Admit Cards
According to the official notice, the candidates’ examinations will be rescheduled for 28 and 29 January 2025. Candidates and others appearing on the exact dates will also be given new admit cards. NTA has asked the candidates to download their new admit cards from the official website and stay updated by checking further notifications.
New rule regarding jeans
Candidates can come to the exam wearing jeans, but the NTA has said that the clothes should be comfortable and not have big buttons. Candidates have also been prohibited from wearing metal items or accessories. Do not wear clothes with buckles or metal. Avoid wearing caps, mufflers, or any head covering. Jewellery like chains, bracelets, or rings cannot be worn. Girls should not wear jewellery or jewellery, including rings or bracelets.
JEE Main Paper-1 will be held on 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29 January. The exam will be held in two shifts. The first shift exam will run from 9 am to 12 noon. The second shift exam will run from 3 pm to 6 pm. Paper Two B Arch and B Planning exam will be held on January 30 from 3 pm to 6 pm. The exam will be held in the second shift from 3 pm to 6.30 pm.
