Proper contouring make-up creates a mix of light and shadow on our skin. Individual parts of the face are brought into focus with light colors, while dark tones push them into the background. Contouring not only conceals small imperfections, but also emphasizes the facial features. The nose is narrower, the lips fuller and the cheeks more prominent? No problem! Contouring perfectly models the face and puts it in the spotlight.

Concealers & Foundations
To ensure that the contouring colors are properly blended into the skin, we recommend applying a foundation first . To conceal dark circles under the eyes, it is best to use a concealer that is about a shade lighter than your own skin tone.
Contouring: Colors & Consistency
It makes sense to have a complete contouring palette that contains all the necessary (light and dark) make-up tones. For a summery, golden effect, as if kissed by the sun, you can also use a slightly shiny bronzer.
What consistency? Contouring powder is better for oily or combination skin. The dry consistency prevents our face from having an unflattering shine. Creams are ideal for dry skin, as they also provide moisture. Be careful: beginners prefer powder, as it is easier to blend. If used incorrectly, contouring with creams can quickly look artificial.

Contouring is not the same as contouring. Which areas are best shaded and lightened depends on the shape of our face. Depending on the shape of our face, it can be beneficial to emphasize or conceal certain areas:
Contouring instructions for heart-shaped face
A broad forehead and a tapered chin characterize a heart-shaped face. To even out the difference, shade the temples and in an arc past the ear down to the cheekbones. The light tones are applied to the forehead, chin and under the eyes.
Contouring instructions for square faces
A square face can quickly appear hard and strict. For this reason, it is contoured a little softer so that the edges recede into the background: the dark colour is applied in an arc on the forehead, to the left and right below the jawbone and on the cheeks. The light contouring highlights are applied to the forehead, the chin and over a large area under the eyes.
