PCB Official Accuses BCCI of Bringing Politics into Cricket

A PCB official has accused the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of politicizing cricket. Earlier, the BCCI had reportedly declined to send Indian captain Rohit Sharma to Pakistan for the captains’ meeting ahead of the Champions Trophy. The official also stated that the Indian team might not have Pakistan’s name on their jerseys, adding to the tensions between the boards. However, The official expressed hope that the International Cricket Council (ICC) would intervene and prevent this from happening.

The 2025 Champions Trophy will feature 15 matches played between 8 teams. India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group (Group A), alongside New Zealand and Bangladesh. In the group stage, each team will face the other three teams in their group.
