The wait for Indian cricket fans is finally over. The Indian team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been announced. While many star players have been included in Team India for the tournament, the dreams of several players to participate in the Champions Trophy 2025 have been shattered. Major Players Who Missed Out on India’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Squad
1. Sanju Samson
Team India’s star wicketkeeper Sanju Samson has once again faced disappointment. The 30-year-old, who missed out on the World Cup 2023 and T20 World Cup 2024, has also been excluded from the Champions Trophy 2025 squad, which comes as a surprise.
2. Suryakumar Yadav
Current T20 captain, Suryakumar Yadav, who performed well for India in the T20 World Cup 2024, has also not been selected for the Champions Trophy 2025. However, this is not too surprising, as the tournament will be played in the ODI format, where his performance has not been as impressive.
3. Mohammed Siraj
Team India’s star pacer Mohammed Siraj has also been left out of the Champions Trophy squad. Siraj struggled in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which could be the reason for his omission. However, Mohammed Shami has returned to the pace trio, alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh.

4. Nitish Kumar Reddy
Young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who impressed with his performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, has not been included in the 15-member squad. Despite expectations of his selection, the selectors decided against giving him an opportunity this time.
5. Varun Chakraborty
Spinner Varun Chakraborty, who has been performing well in domestic cricket, has also missed out. The selectors have placed their trust in Kuldeep Yadav as the main spinner for the Champions Trophy.
