Quick Lemon Rice Recipe: Make delicious and healthy lemon rice at home

Lemon rice is a very simple recipe that can be made quickly and with very few ingredients. Let’s find out how to make lemon rice!

Ingredients for making lemon rice:

500 grams basmati rice

One or two onions

One teaspoon chaat masala

Juice of one big lemon

Half bowl of curd

Half bowl of peanuts

Finely chopped coriander leaves

Half teaspoon black salt

White salt according to taste

Half bowl of ghee

Half teaspoon turmeric

Method of making lemon rice

First of all, soak the rice in water for half an hour. This will make the rice fluffy. On the middle flame, put two teaspoons of ghee in the pan and fry the peanuts well and take them out in a bowl.

Put the cooker on medium flame and add half a bowl of ghee. When the ghee is hot, add half a teaspoon of cumin and half a teaspoon of mustard seeds. When the tempering crackles, add finely and long-sized chopped onions and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. When the onions are fried well, add half a teaspoon of turmeric, half a teaspoon of chaat masala and half a teaspoon of black salt and mix.

When the spices are mixed well, add rice to it and fry it for 2 to 3 minutes. Once the rice and spices are mixed, add half a bowl of curd and lemon juice and mix well. Use water as per requirement and let it boil once.
