Weather Updates: The weather across the country fluctuates rapidly. Sometimes, the temperature rises, and sometimes, the sky is cloudy, making people feel cold. Two consecutive western disturbances are expected to affect the hilly states of North India from this weekend until next week’s end. Their effects will be most pronounced in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, where heavy snowfall is common. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain and snowfall will also occur in Himachal Pradesh. However, its effect will be the least severe in Uttarakhand.
Weather will change from February 9
According to private weather website Skymet Weather, a new western disturbance will enter the west Himalayas on February 8. Due to this, a change in the weather can be seen from February 9. Soon after this, another western disturbance will arrive, but its effect will be less, and no change will be seen in the weather.
Apart from this, the weather can improve significantly after February 15. According to the Meteorological Department, night and day temperatures will increase.
Rain warning in Himachal Pradesh
In Himachal Pradesh, light snowfall is common, but thunderstorms are common. Light snowfall is expected in Manali, and moderate snowfall is expected in Keylong Valley. Rain and thundershowers are also common in Dalhousie, Dharamshala, and Shimla.
The effect of this changing weather will also be less in Uttarakhand. Light snowfall will be seen only in high-altitude areas. At the same time, light rain is expected in some places in Mussoorie, Nainital, Uttarkashi, Joshimath, and Mukteshwar. The second western disturbance will reach the west Himalayas between February 12 and 14 but will be veak.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a drop in temperature in Delhi-UP on Thursday. The temperature drops again during the coming days due to the northern icy wind blowing in the area.

According to the IMD, an alert has been issued regarding rain and fog in many states, s including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Bihar. At the same time, there is a possibility of increasing cold in between. Arunachal Pradesh, Assa,m and Meghalaya may also have widespread Raina.
Fog is possible at night and in the morning in different areas of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Odisha.

Minimum temperatures in eastern India will gradually decrease after the next 24 hours.
