CBSE reduces syllabus; answer checking will be done by computer! Major changes in board exams

Another big news is waiting for school students. Especially if you are a student of the CBSE board, then this article is for you. Major changes have been made in the 10th and 12th exams by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). These changes are going to be implemented from the next board examination, i.e., 2025. In the ‘Bridging the Gap’ Principals Summit held in Indore, CBSE’s Bhopal Regional Officer Vikas Kumar Agarwal has given information in this regard. He said that this step has been taken to reduce the burden of studies and improve the learning style of children.

 

Big decision made by CBSE

 

The biggest change is that the syllabus of all subjects has been reduced by 15%. Agarwal said that this will help children to understand the subjects deeply and take more interest in studies. CBSE believes that this will reduce the burden of studies on children. Instead of rote, children will now be able to focus on important topics.

 

Answer Key Digital Checking and Open Book Exam

 

CBSE is now going to check the answer sheet digitally. This will enable the results to be prepared quickly and in a transparent manner. There is a plan to start open book exams for the subjects of English literature and social science. In this way, children will be able to take exams by looking at their books. This will not reveal the memory of the children but their ability to think and understand.

 

Changes in CBSE Exam Pattern

 

There has also been a change in the exam pattern. According to which, now the marks of the internal assessment will be 40% and the remaining 60% marks will be of the final exam. This will encourage children to read throughout the year. Projects, assignments, and periodic tests will now be included in the internal assessment. This will enable the correct assessment of children’s knowledge. They will get many opportunities to show their ability.

 

The board also said that there will be board exams only once in 2025. Board exams will be conducted twice again in 2026. This step is an important step towards making learning easier and giving more opportunities to children to showcase their abilities.
