Among these individuals, 33 hail from the state of Gujarat, specifically from the districts of Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Patan, and Mehsana. All deportees were transported back to India via an American military aircraft. Notably, 13 children are part of this group of migrants.

President Donald Trump has escalated efforts to address illegal immigration

Following his re-election, President Donald Trump has escalated efforts to address illegal immigration, resulting in the repatriation of these individuals. The U.S. is utilizing C-17 transport planes for this purpose. Prior to the presidential election, Trump had pledged to remove illegal immigrants from the country, a commitment he initiated immediately upon assuming office. Reports indicate that the Trump administration has compiled a list of approximately 1.5 million such migrants.

According to media reports, focusing on the returning individuals from Gujarat, the majority originate from the districts of Mehsana and Gandhinagar, with 12 individuals returning from each of these areas, along with 4 from Surat and 2 from Ahmedabad. Among them is a woman named Khushboo Patel from Vadodara, who had lost contact with her family for 15 days. Khushboo, a resident of Luna village in Padra, had moved to the United States a year prior to her deportation, where she lived with her husband.

Additionally, Smitkumar Patel from Mehsana has also returned, although his current address is unknown as he had sold his previous residence and relocated. Several other families have reported recent communication with their daughter, who had been in the United States for seven months. The list of 33 Gujarati citizens returning from America encompasses individuals of various ages.
