Another major update for Indian farmers. Farmers can expect the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to hit their bank accounts soon. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan recently announced that this payment will be made by the end of February 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bihar on February 24, where he will transfer the funds directly to farmers’ accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

To receive this assistance, which totals 6,000 rupees annually for small and marginal farmers, it’s essential to complete the e-KYC process. The funds are distributed in three installments of 2,000 rupees each, and the e-KYC ensures that the money goes to the right people, preventing any fraud. Farmers who skip this step might miss out on the upcoming installment, so it’s crucial to get it done as soon as possible.

There are three convenient ways for farmers to complete their e-KYC for the PM Kisan Yojana:

1. OTP-based e-KYC: Accessible via the PM Kisan portal and mobile app.

2. Face authentication e-KYC: Can be done from home using the mobile app.

3. Biometric e-KYC: Available at Common Service Centres (CSC) and State Seva Kendra.

As for when the next payment will arrive, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh confirmed that the 19th installment will be credited to farmers’ accounts on February 24, 2025, coinciding with PM Modi’s visit to Bihar, where he will also engage in various agricultural initiatives and launch state development projects.
