Central Government do not change interest rate of many schemes including PPF, NSC and SCSS. The interest rates were last revised on December 31, 2023. Meanwhile, the interest rate of the Public Provident Fund (PPF) remained unchanged at 7.1% during the previous quarter. They have remained the same since the second quarter of the fiscal year 2020-2021.

“The rates for many small schemes have been kept unchanged for the third quarter starting from 1st October and will last to 31 December.” said finance ministry.

This rule will include many small investment schemes like Shukanya Samridhi Yojna, senior citizen saving scheme, PPF and others.
