The train journey will be easier in 2025, IRCTC to launch new app

Good news for train passengers. Now travelling by train is becoming easy for everyone. Indian Railways is continuously enhancing its services by leveraging the latest technology. The new super app from IRCTC aims to consolidate various existing applications and services into one platform, offering passengers an improved experience.

IRCTC’s Super App

This innovative super app will feature a variety of services all in one place. It will integrate applications such as the ‘Unreserved Ticketing System’ (UTS), ‘National Train Enquiry System’ (NTES), ‘Railmadad’, and ‘IRCTC Rail Connect’. Additionally, it will include policies like travel insurance, making it more convenient for travelers.

A senior railway official has confirmed this development. The app is anticipated to be launched by the end of the financial year 2024-25. It is being developed by the Indian Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and will be linked with IRCTC.

With this new app, passengers will have access to all current services in one location. It will also take up less storage space on smartphones, as there are currently 6-7 separate mobile apps for Indian Railways, including the IRCTC App, Rail Saarthi, Indian Railways PNR, NTES, Railmadad, UTS, and Food on Track.

The IRCTC super app will be available for both Android and iOS devices, ensuring that all passengers can easily download it and access the full range of railway services. The IRCTC Rail Connect app was introduced in 2014, allowing users to book train tickets directly and check PNR status, train schedules, and more.
