Good news is waiting for state govt employees.Before and after Diwali, the central government and various state governments are giving gifts to their employees. This time will be no exception. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya recently made several important announcements while delivering a speech in the first session of the 15th Legislative Assembly. He said that the state government will prepare a scientific formula to link pension and dearness allowance (DA). This will ensure an increase in the amount of all social security pensions.

 

Special Welfare Board for Backward Societies

 

The Governor further informed that separate welfare boards would be set up for 36 castes of backward society for which adequate budget would also be provided. This step has been taken to ensure the holistic development of these communities and their welfare.

 

Housing Scheme for the Poor

 

The Governor also presented a plan for construction of 5 lakh houses for the poor in urban and rural areas.

 

Scholarship Schemes and Education Opportunities

 

The Governor announced that the Scheduled Caste students of Haryana who are studying engineering from any government college in the country will be eligible for this scheme. They will be provided full scholarships. Backward class students will also be given a maximum scholarship of Rs 20,000. Which includes tuition fees and development fees.
