Indian tourist visas are cancelling by Dubai government! New rules on effect

Dubai Visa : Dubai, a city in the United Arab Emirates, draws millions of Indian tourists annually. In 2023, over 60 lakh visitors from India reached Dubai. Nonetheless, a recent report has indicated that many Indian tourists traveling to Dubai have had their visa applications rejected. The rate of visa rejections has risen from 1-2 percent to 5-6 percent, marking the highest level in recent years.

Why Dubai rejected visas?

In this scenario, Indians are forfeiting thousands of rupees due to non-refundable airline and hotel reservations. In addition to this, all their travel arrangements are going to waste. At one time, nearly 99 percent of visa applications for Dubai received approval. Nonetheless, UAE officials are now declining even the most well-prepared applications.

New Visa rule in UAE

As per a report, daily, at least five to six applications out of every 100 are denied. Despite providing details of confirmed flight tickets and hotel bookings, visa applications are still being denied. Be aware of the new UAE visa regulations. Last month, the UAE implemented more stringent requirements for tourist visa applications for Dubai, resulting in an increase in visa rejections. When applying for a visa under the new regulation, travelers will need to upload a copy of their return ticket to the immigration department’s site. In the past, airport officials were required to ask for these documents. Furthermore, travelers are required to provide evidence of hotel bookings or any other documentation of their planned lodging in Dubai.

What to do in this scenario?

Visitors intending to stay with relatives are required to provide a copy of their residence visa, their Emirates ID, the rental agreement from their host, along with their contact details. To obtain a two-month visa, applicants need to possess a minimum of AED 5,000 (approximately Rs 1.14 lakh) in their credit or debit accounts. To obtain a three-month visa, they need to possess AED 3,000.
