Hero Zoom 160: Hero MotoCorp launched its much-awaited Maxi-Scooter Hero Zoom 160 at the ongoing Auto Expo 2025 in Delhi on January 17. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at ₹ 1,48,500. This Maxi-Scooter was first introduced at EICMA 2023 and has finally arrived in India.

Hero Zoom 160 Powertrain

This scooter has a 156cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which generates a maximum power of 14 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It also runs on 14-inch front and rear wheels.

Hero Zoom 160 Design and Features

The Hero Zoom 160’s design is similar to that of the Maxi-Scooter, but in some places, it is different. It has a high apron and a raised windscreen. It also has a split LED headlight setup, which gives the front section a look similar to that of ADV bikes.

The scooter has telescopic forks and twin-rear shock absorbers. The braking setup includes disc brakes at both ends. The scooter runs on 14-inch alloy wheels and block-pattern tires. This gives the scooter a slightly more powerful look and feel overall.

On the other hand, if we talk about the features of this scooter, then many modern features have been given in the new Hero Zoom 160. Which includes all-LED lighting, keyless start, a digital instrument console with turn-by-turn navigation, and a separate seat opening button.

Along with this, this Maxi-Scooter also gets a large under-seat storage space in which a full-size helmet as well as other small items can be kept. It also has LED lights for better visibility.

The scooter gets a 240 mm front disc brake as standard fitment while the rear gets a drum unit. For suspension, it gets telescopic forks at the front and dual springs at the rear.

Hero Zoom 160 Competition and Booking Details

The Hero Zoom 160 will directly compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160 in the Indian market. The official bookings for the Zoom 160 Maxi-Scooter will start in February, while the first deliveries will begin in March 2025.
