Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed out over 6.5 million property cards to landowners across more than 50,000 villages in 10 states and 2 union territories under the Swamitva Yojana. He did this during a video conference event on Saturday afternoon. The property cards were given to residents from states like Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

 

PM Modi emphasized that having proper records of land and homes is crucial for the nation’s growth. He noted that when people have clear ownership of their property, it boosts their confidence. To date, over 12.5 million property cards have been issued.
