The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), which is hosting the Mumbai vs. Jammu & Kashmir Ranji Trophy match at its Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), has announced arrangements for 200 spectators at the venue. The match has gained significant attention as Indian captain and star batsman Rohit Sharma is set to play in the Ranji Trophy after nearly nine years.

According to a report by ETV Bharat, spectators will be permitted entry exclusively for the Mumbai vs. Jammu & Kashmir Ranji Trophy match at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). The decision to allow limited public attendance is reportedly due to strict security measures, as Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is set to make his Ranji Trophy comeback after nearly nine years. To accommodate the audience, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) plans to set up 200 chairs in the available space at the venue, ensuring spectators can witness the much-anticipated match while adhering to security protocols.

MCA BKC Ground: A Smaller Venue with Big Expectations

Unlike the Wankhede Stadium in South Mumbai, the MCA BKC is a smaller ground, typically used to host Ranji Trophy matches. The venue is also where Mumbai players practice, making it a familiar setting for them.

Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, and Shardul Thakur will play for Mumbai in their upcoming Ranji Trophy league match against Jammu and Kashmir, starting January 23.
