Many schemes have been started by the central government for the financial safety of the people. Out of these, both PM Jyoti Bima Scheme and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana are playing a key role. Through these schemes, people are given cover at a very low premium. This scheme was started by the government of the country in 2015. It is a kind of life insurance scheme.

PM Jyoti Bima Scheme is a kind of term insurance scheme. The benefit of this scheme is received by the family of the holders after death. This means that if the policy holder dies due to illness, accident or any other reason, then Rs 2 lakh is provided to the family. However, if the period of the scheme is completed and nothing happens to the investor, then he does not get the benefit of the scheme.

Who gets the benefit

Any person from 18 years to 50 years can avail the benefit of PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Scheme. After applying in the scheme, the money of the investors is auto debited. The special thing about this scheme is that the government gives insurance in a very low amount in this scheme. In this scheme, citizens can get insurance of up to Rs 2 lakh by investing only Rs 436 annually.

Let us tell you that earlier the premium of this policy had to be paid Rs 330. After this, the amount of this premium has been increased to Rs 436.

Documents required to apply

To apply in PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, the applicant needs Aadhar card, PAN card, passport size photo, bank account details and mobile number etc.
