Whether buying groceries from a store or shopping in a mall, UPI is widely used. It also helps in completing various bank-related tasks, allowing users to transfer money from one account to another easily. In this way, UPI has brought a revolution in banking transactions. Meanwhile, HDFC Bank has sent a message to its customers, informing them that its UPI services will not work from 12 AM to 3 AM on February 8, 2025. This means HDFC Bank’s UPI service will be unavailable for three hours.

Why Will the Services Be Closed?
The company has stated that due to necessary bank system maintenance, its UPI services will be temporarily unavailable. As a result, several services, including UPI transactions, will be affected, and customers will not be able to transfer money between accounts during this time.
Which Services Will Be Affected?
Due to system maintenance, the following services will be affected:
- Bank current and savings accounts
- RuPay credit card transactions
- HDFC mobile banking app
- Third-party app providers supported by HDFC
- Merchant UPI transaction services
If you are an HDFC customer and are travelling, it’s a good idea to keep some cash on hand to meet your immediate needs. If you have an account with another bank, you can use their UPI services during this period.

Why Are Banking Services Closed?
