What’s the LIC’s Bima Sakhi Scheme all about?

This program offers special training for women who have passed their 10th grade to become LIC agents. The goal is to train 2 lakh Bima Sakhis nationwide over the next three years. During the first three years of training, these women will receive a stipend. Once they finish their training, they can start working as LIC agents, and there’s even a chance to become a Development Officer after graduation.

You’ll earn while you learn

Women who are trained as Bima Sakhis will receive a stipend throughout their training. In the first year, they’ll get Rs 7,000 a month, followed by Rs 6,000 in the second year, and Rs 5,000 in the third year. This means they can earn over Rs 2 lakh in three years, plus they can boost their income with commissions.

Who can apply?

The Bima Sakhi scheme is exclusively for women. To apply, they need to have completed their 10th grade. Women aged 18 to 70 can benefit from this scheme, and the government will provide three years of training. After that, they’ll be ready to work as insurance agents.
