Recently Mumbai faced rest of India in Irani cup. Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan hit a double century in the first inning of the match, Mumbai won the match in the first inning. 

Tanush Kotian scored his second first-class century on the fifth day of the Irani Cup as Mumbai won the title on the basis of their first-innings lead, lifting the trophy for the first time since the 1997-98 season.

But Sanju Samson could not get his place in Irani cup, and this has raised a controversy
